Since Coal means life or death to the people, why do they allow a few rich men to own the mines?

The rich did not make the coal nor the land ; they have simply taken them from the people.

Where would their ownership be if the German Army landed to-day in England, and the common people refused to stop them?

The people starve and the rich revel in vicious pleasures. The people suffer and the rich despise them.

What difference would it make to the people whether Germans owned the Mines, or the present owners kept possession?

The real enemy of England is the class which now owns the Mines and the Land.

How much longer are the people to endure it?

Were it not that Englishmen can be had who will murder Englishmen for a shilling a day our present misery would soon be stopped.

[Dated April 1912 when the national miners strike (February-April) was nearly over. Possibly a draft. No provenance but filled with anarchist and syndicalist ideology.]
