[Letter of tribute to Lilian Wolfe]

Should like to add my personal tribute to those of others, with regard to Lilian Wolfe.

I particularly remember how she kept the Red Lion Street Freedom Bookshop going through the last War, during the blitz, and the many years when, rain or shine, she could be found on Sunday afternoons at Marble Arch, selling FREEDOM.

One was especially conscious of her honesty – an apparently vanishing virtue these days, yet surely the necessary basis for any truly revolutionary movement?
